Anyone see brake rotors painted on the part that always rusts. Just where the rotor touches the rim. Thinkin of doing my in high temp blue or just grey to keep them from rusting. Tell me what you think it would look like on my car. Link in my sig

Re: Colored brake rotors?
I've had good luck with semi-gloss black BBQ paint on the front rotors, and with the zinc-washed rotors. I have the Baer zinc-washed in the back, and after 7 years there is no rust on the non-swept areas.

Re: Colored brake rotors?
I just did mine this past week when I had everything apart to put in the new suspension. I bought a can of caliper paint over at the AutoZone for about $4 and it was plenty to do all my rotors and hats. Oh, and I also ground it down with my angle grinder just to smooth as much as I could easily reach.

Re: Colored brake rotors?
i did this when i put on my LS1 brakes over a year ago and they still look good. I just used flat black but it looks 100x's better than rust and like a moron i was in a hurry and forgot to do it to my new rear rotors when i did my rear brakes later. They are now covered in rust and i'll have to take them back off and clean the rust off and paint them. That might be a good project for tom.

Re: Colored brake rotors?
Flat black w/ some clear coat looks good. I ran out of the gloss black engine enamel so on my rear rotors I did the flat w/gloss and it looks better than the fronts.
My next rotors will be zinc coated so I won't be messing with it again

Expensive. But beautiful. As far as just the brake rotors, I haven't seen any other than the ones that look kind of gold in color.

Not that I'm aware of, unless you do a C5 conversion and get the Z06 calipers that come red. Which ironicly are cheaper than the regular black C5 calipers.
Check out some sponsors or ebay, I'm sure someone has some. If not, just get some stockers and have them powder coated. They're easy enough to DIY if you want paint.
installuniversity.com and IIRC ls1howto.com both have an write up on it.
