Confused
Ok so ive decided to stiffen up the ride and have no idea which companies to go with so far it seems like hotchkis, bmr, and spohn are the major one but who makes the "best" components. I drive my car on the street and take it to the track im not really into any road race type of thing but i want it to handle better in general and just stiffer. Im going to be getting sub-frame connectors, lca's, panhard rod but which company should i got with???

Re: Confused
Well I just installed some Spohn pieces in the rear suspension and I am 100% satisfied with the quality, price, and performance of the parts and the excellent customer service I received on the phone. I will be ordering the rest of my suspension assortment from Spohn most definitely.

Re: Confused
Call Sam Strano. Go to www.stranoparts.com But I would call and talk to him. He'll spend a considerable amount of time getting you all the right pieces that you need.
Don't just start throwing parts on the car without knowing exactly what you're looking for and exactly what the parts are going to do for you.
I use Ground Control coilovers (with 500 lb springs) with Koni SA shocks in the front along with a Suspension Techniques 35mm front bar. Sam sells a hollow bar that's almost as stiff that will save you 10-15 lbs over the solid bar. Went with Energy Suspension bushings for the camber bushings but using Moog caster bushings, the ES bushings don't hold up there. In the rear, I use a 21mm rear bar with 125 lb springs and Ground Control adjustable spring perches. I have Bilstein HD's and a chromemoly panhard rod with QA-1 rod ends.
I autocross my car A LOT. The suspension was setup for a SCCA class called ESP. It will corner like no other F-Body you've ever riden in, especially with my 315 (17x11's all around) V710 Kumho tires.
Oh, and it's a daily driver.

Re: Confused
Yep, call Sam Strano. Talk to him about what you want to do with the car and he'll lead you down the right path. He'll take the time to get you where you want to be without buying unnecessary products or products that work, but may not be best for what you want.

Re: Confused
along the lines of bruecksteve,
For my 99 Z28, I kept the stock springs, and got Sam to revalved Bilstiens, the ST 35 mm front bar (although, now they do have an equiv hollow bar), and a T2R diff out back(I LOVE IT!). Its basically a solo 2 F-stock setup. Although my subframe connectors and 17" wheels bump me to SM, but I really don't care since I just autox for the fun of it.
It perfectly fits my goal, of vastly improving the cars dynamics(especialyl from my worn out stock shocks), while still being very "tame" in terms of ride, parts, maintanence, and cost, for a street car.
All depends on what your end goal is, and how far and how much money you're willing to spend.

Re: Confused
i mostly drag race out at hrp...i do like to take some turns on the street so i was considering a qa1 coilover setup but before i do anything like that i want to start small like ive said like lca's subframes etc. Is it basically the spring rates that vary between a road and drag setup as well as the shocks ie 90/10,70/30 and so on if so wouldnt i be able to change those with the qa1 or equiv. coilover setup? if i could come up with a suspension setup i could vary like that that would be ideal
