If you stick with only cutting 1 coil or less you will be fine. The people who have actually done this had good things to say about it. I would do it, but I want more spring rate than what I'd get from removing a coil from a stock spring.

For all the trouble it is to get the front springs out, I would just get lowering springs and be done with it, rather than cutting some spring off and hoping it worked, only to find out it didn't and having to do all that work over again. Your call, though.
There have been some replies saying it's ok, but it may not turn out the same for everyone.

I thought it was pretty easy to do. And I am really happy with my results. I will take some pictures while I am home over the weekend and post them.

well not to start conflict or anything but ive ridden in f-bodies with lowering springs and they ride noticeably rougher than my car with cut springs...
you will bottom out your car SOMETIMES in the back because the bumpstops, need to take some off of them or remove them to fix it...and cuitting springs wil make it ride firmer than stock but most people wont even notice the diff...a car with springs rides much rougher...

ive sucessfully done this to about 5 cars now with 3 haveing over 20 sinc they have been cut and over 130k miles total...no problems...
my white car cuts 1.4x 60' on cut springs and bone stock suspension mods...

id reccomend 1.5 coils cut off bottom of the front and top of the back springs...maybe 1.75 off the back...no more...you can try less...mine now has about .75-1 inch of clearence on level ground between tires and wheel wells...its about a 1 inch drop and makes it look nice...but not slammed!

I don't know your set-up, but with my long tubes, I personally wouldn't want to remove any more than I did. Again, I'll take pictures over the weekend.

Does anyone have any directions on how to take off the front springs on a 93Z...Like I said I was planning on doing mine today and I would rather have something to read off of then just starting stuff apart and not be able to get it back together

Thanks

try installuniversity.com or ls1howto.com. The suspension is the same set up.
