Diamond Slotted Rotors?

I just ran across some... I'm just curious, would these provide any advantage over standard Slotted Rotors or is it just to add to the "bling" factor? How about crossdrilled rotors? Just more bling?

Also how will "SP Performance Rotors" hold up to warping? Has anyone used them? I was looking for a rotor that was heavy enough to withstand the brakes and not warp in 3 months or less...

How are "EBC" Pads and Rotors?

unless you are seriously going to be racing, there is no need to get crazy with brakes.. I replaced my warped factory units with the Autozone cheapos and have had no issues since.
and I do race. Hahha

Ooooo Waffle House!

j/k

I'm completely in the dark over AutoX... It appears in this case they take a large concrete slab and the cones of course represent the course...

Reason I was posting is because I can't count the number of times I've heard of people warping their stock rotors. Mines are horrible, well I can't SEE any warping but everytime I stop from 55 MPH and up my car vibrates like something out of California... If Autozone will hold up fine as you say then I'd have no problem with going for the cheaper rotors, I just want something that's going to last me more than 3 months...

Re: Diamond Slotted Rotors?

Stock LS1 rotors are light castings @16lbs front. Thats why they warp. The Autozone rotors are 18lbs IIRC. Look for rotors in that weight range. Those 2 lbs makes a nice difference in a heat sink like rotors.

Slotting and x-drilling are all bling. X-drills will weaken the rotor and are prone to cracking.

EBC isn't the best for the price from what I've seen. Look into Hawk, Axxis or PFC (all carbon metallics aka ferrocarbon) for a performance street pad. If you're worried about dust, then get ceramic but they won't brake as hard and are harder on rotors.

Change your fluid out too.

Same way you bleed them. Just keep going amd adding until clean fluid comes out.
