hey everyone...i just bought a BMR front swaybar.....and in a couple of weeks will be ordering the rear, do i need to get the BMR for the rear, or can i go with another brand? i cant imagine that it would be a big problem, but i thought i would check. thanks

i dont c y there would be a problem with mix matchign brands, the only thing is, i know BMR makes their sway bars solid instead of hollow for more rigidity, as others might make em hollow for weight saving , just look into that and c what u would prefer more

and yea, don't go too big on the rear
makes for the rear breaking loose easier on turns
unless you like that

You dont need to upgrade the rear bar in most all cases, even if you actually go to the track and push the car hard. stay with the stocker out back.

At what point would it become necessary, I know the front makes a huge difference in body roll and dive...

you mean the rear bar?
when you go with some serious canyon carving is when you could use it
otherwise, the rear is fine for autox and daily driving
it's mostly a matter of preference
you can work with a 21 rear bar and it might be fine for you if you know how to drive it and feather the throttle out of the turn
but then again, some people can't do that and end up losing the rear on a turn
all a matter of what you would want and your style of racing (your finesse if you like)

yea, well i've heard from a guy that used it for canyon carving and he loved it
said it was definately better than stock
but yea, i'm sure nobody really needs it, but it comes down to preference imo

hey, btw, what's your boltons that helped you get those dyno #s in your sig?
i'm trying to gauge how close i am to breaking 300rwhp without actually having to go to the dyno

Most actual racers don't start using a 21 rear until they have a 35 front. Even then, there are several who run the stock 19 with the 35 to balance it out.

i run the 32/21 combo and it still really makes big improvement on handling, i really cant tell u about teh 21 rear making it more likely to lose the rear out of a turn for teh fact that ive run with bald tires for a while , but imho i think that upgrading teh front for teh most part to a solid instead of hollow makes a huge improvement,

planning on the pro5.0/lss package next, then headers hopefully (rk sport middies, same as yours pretty much, cept yours have better welds )

I'm running a solid 32 mm front sway bar and a 25 mm in the back. It's solid too. Both are made from chrome moly .

The car handles like it's on rails and it's not even lowered yet

most people have a hard time deciding to do 21 or not and here you are with a 25

Hollow vs. Solid doesn't matter for much, other than the solid is added weight to the front end (which is not an improvement). It's the diameter of the bar that matters most.

On top of that, your optimal sway bar depends on spring rates.

No one who seriously races matches a 25 rear to anything less than a 35mm front.
