driver side higher than passenger side...

driver side higher than passenger side...
I just purchased a 99 M6 with 60,000 miles. carfax clean
so I notice that the driver side rear of the car has more gap between the wheel well than the passenger side. I figure it is a problem with the stock springs and a good lowering will fix it.
Last night I put MAC springs on it and the driver side rear is still higher than the passenger side, by an inch and a quarter.
I am going to try swapping the top pads for the coil overs and see if that makes a differance.
the front driver side is also higher than the passenger side, but that may be due to the rear being taller.
Has anyone else had this problem or know what may be causing it?
to my knowledge it hasn't been crashed and it doesn't have any signs of being crashed.
thanks in advance

Re: driver side higher than passenger side...
I remember reading that it was designed like this. so that when there was only the driver in the car, it would be level. Might not be the case, but i do remember reading that, probably on this board
