Easy Stock LT1 Torque Arm Question

Does the stock torque arm have a slight curve to it. I noticed it when I took it off for a tranny rebuild and was wondering if it's naturally got a decent curve or if I've bent the flimsy thing. I'll get a picture tomorrow. This is an A4 car btw.

Re: Easy Stock LT1 Torque Arm Question

Imagine pushing a toothpick on both ends so that it bows out a little bit. Similiar to that.

Re: Easy Stock LT1 Torque Arm Question

We've got specific forums for specific topics.... a "torque arm" question doesn't belong in "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech".

Moving to "Suspension......."

Re: Easy Stock LT1 Torque Arm Question

That's EXACTLY what mine looks like. I think I'm going to have to run it like that for a while on the street. Probably won't even get to the track. Oh well.
