Emergency/parking brake problems

A few weeks ago I removed the rear calipers to address the squeak issue.
Now the brake is very hard to pull up and the holding power of the e-brake is terrible.
I can pull it up firmly and the car still easily rolls on nearly flat road.
Is this an adjustment problem or somthing else.
I also have Hawk HPS pads.
Thanks

Re: Emergency/parking brake problems

Check the routing of the emergency brake cables to make sure they're not binding.
