Equal length brake lines?

I just installed a AJE tuular k-member and i have deleted my ABS. I bought the SJM abs delete kit for my car and its all great. I am also going to replace the stock lines to both of the front brakes from the master cylinder to the wheel. A buddy of mine tells me that both front brake line have to be almost exatcly the same length so that the braking pressure will be the same. Any truth to that? Do I have to coil the line up on the drivers side so that its the same lenght as the passenger side? I don't see how it could be a problem fo run uneven lines because once they are filled theywil move the same amount. Any ideas?

Re: Equal length brake lines?

No the lines don't need to be the same length. Your thinking is correct.

They do not need to be the same length. You are right with what you are thinking. The fluid won't compress so they will be equal pressure on both lines even at different lengths.

I am just curious....were you able to find the correct fittings for the lines? I could not find the right size for my ABS module so I gave up.

Re: Equal length brake lines?

U have to get metric bubble-flare or something very close to that; the typical double-flare won't work.

Your buddy need to share the drugs he's on! LOL

I would be a mess to make the left front line the same length as the right rear line.
