F-Body Rear Competition Engineering Shocks.. Anyone running them?
Is anyone running the 3 way adjustable REAR Comp. Eng. Shocks? They adj 70/30, 60/40, and 50/50
Just wanted to see how much of an improvement these shocks would be over stock. I have full suspension minus rear shocks and subframe connectors.
also wanted to see who is running them currently, and if they are happy with them. They are very affordable, just saw them in jegs for 40 a piece.
Thanks in advance...
paul

Yes they are setup for 82-98 models ( not sure why it stops at 98 )
my car is setup for track use (straight line) I'm looking for something that is gonna help transfer weight/squat in the rear, over stock shocks. I was going to buy the matching hals but I saw these priced very reasonable. Wanted to see if anyone here was running them and if they liked them for Track use, and how "streetable" they may be. Since I do drive my car on the street once a week.

I've known guys that ran them on 1st and 2nd gens. Don't kow about streetable. W/a 50/50 setting it should be ok. The front drag shocks are what you really don't want to run on the street.

Yeah... Well I have Hal Qa1 on upfront of the car.. And it does plenty well for what I need at the present time. Just looking to see if the adjustabilty is only able to be done off the car or not. That's kind of a pain if you ask me, but 50/50 is not bad, even on the street. But I'd like to get what I can at the track out of these.

I have them on mine. Definately a drag shock. I would not recommend them on the street. I set mine 50/50 and it really helped out with planting the rear. On the street you would feel like you were driving a truck. Exelent bang for the buck. Oh, and I still run stock shocks up front.

In my opinion you make a pretty good compromise when you set the car up for straight line acceleration and then drive it on the street. I have a stock 95 V6 bird and the way it rides versus my 94 Z is like nite and day.
I am seriously considering putting a spool in my car and still driving it on the street thats how much I.ll compromise.

yep my car is a street car that will see the track a few times a year. It drives very well on the street, and soon it will have a strong rear with a spool also. Just sucks going around turns thats all. Big deal like you say, gotta make compromises..
