Feeling in touch with the road??

Is there anyway to make my 4th gen feel more in touch with the road. What i mean is when i'm trying to push it in my car it seems like i'm kinda guessing where the car is going. With my friends supra its point the front wheels in that direction and that is where it goes. It also feels like i'm getting more feed back from the suspension.
What can i do to get the same feel and response on my Z

Spend some time searching on good dampening shocks and a slightly bigger sway bar.
