Front brakes = high squeal at low speeds to stop
Okay so I bought ceramic brake pads from Pep Boys. The front ones squeal a very high pitch that annoys the heck out of me. It goes away after 10 minutes of driving but still I'd like to get rid of it. At every stop at about 1-5 mph, with the brakes lightly pressed, it squeals like a squirrel giving birth to triplets. Since this was my first camaro brake job, I was trying to remove the whole thing, top and bottom bolts of the calipers. I remember trying to loosen the bottom bolt of the caliper bracket but never could do it. Eventually I figured out you could place the brake pads with the caliper still on by pivoting it off the bottom bolt. Is this not the way to do it? Do I have to remove both top and bottom bolts to completely remove the calipers when doing these front brakes?
The brakes fit in nicely, greased it all where necessary, and tested it. They all work but it squeals at low speeds. Any advice?

that sounds like its rough on my transmission (bought it as a rebuild). I don't want to ruin it---if there's other alternatives out there I'd like to try it first! I did google around about this method and it's definitely a technique many try and seems to work. I'll wait for any other suggestions and maybe I'll try the fun stop and go method this weekend

Wow what a difference! Tough to find a spot to do this in LA but I managed. The brakes began to smell and slightly smoke after the 6th time. Never went all the way up to 60---went 45--- and stopped to 10. Let them cool for 15 minutes and did it 5 more times---and again the sweet brake smell. After that it's been silent ever since. Thanks for the advice---after you mentioned this practice I googled it aplenty and sure enough that's exactly what everyone should do when getting new brakes. Seriously, this method should be stamped on all brake pad boxes in flourescent orange---this is a must!! Thanks again man!

Your welcome. This is actually in the owners manual:
Brake Adjustment
Every time you make a moderate brake stop, your disc
brakes adjust for wear. If you rarely make a moderate or
heavier stop, then your brakes might not adjust correctly.
If you drive in that way, then -- very carefully -- make
a few moderate brake stops about every 1,000 miles
(1 600 km), so your brakes will adjust properly
