Front end squeak

I know this isnt a Camaro question but My Mustang has a bad squeak in the front of the car, so I replaced the front struts and have the squeak still? Could it be a sway bar squeaking? I was told to spray with wd-40 the bushings. That didnt help.

Broken sway bar link?...although that would be a clunk

Most likely your bushings are just dry and wroe out.

Re: Front end squeak

I know that my poly bushings squeaked like a ****. So much that I finally replaced them altogether about two weeks ago. WD-40 would tend to dissolve any grease that you have on the bushings making the squeak worse, I would think. Unless they are just old rubber and deteriorated like NOS said.

When I took the OEM bushings out of my 94 about a year and a half ago (replaced with poly, made the squeak worse), they looked like crap, so since your '96 vintage bushings are close to the same age, I would suspect that you may have the same issue.
