Front Shock alignment?

I'm changing my front shocks, and I thought I heared or read somewhere that you need to remember how something lines up or the alignment will be off. I though that the alignment changing was all in the control arms and no alignment will be needed as long as your not changing the springs? Thanks for any input.

Re: Front Shock alignment?

You have to mark the spring shock assembly before you take it apart, so the top and bottom mounts align properly to the holes in the shock tower and the lower A-arm when you reassemble them.... its the alignment of the holes that is an issue.... not the steering alignment.
