Front Sway bar?

Front Sway bar?
I had my car up on the rack the other day and noticed that my driver's side swaybar mount was broke and not even supporting the swaybar. I was wondering if I could just remove the whole swaybar since it will be a drag car anyways, and I will not be cornering curves anymore. What ya think? Anyone have theirs removed, and how does it handle and change the front-end configuration? Thanks.....

If it's a drag car, go ahead and remove it will help lighten up the front and help lift the front up during launch. A lot of guys run without the bar and some even disconnect it when they go to the track and re-attach it when they are done.
The car handles a little sloppy without the bar during tight cornering but normal easy turns not to bad. Removing the bar will not upset the front end configuration.

If its a drag purpose car, then remove it at your discretion. I have heard of people removing them, forgetting that they removed them, and drive their car like they normally would and didn't even notice it.

You guys are insane. If you don't notice a front bar missing there is something really wrong, or you drive like a 90 year old Grandmother. Fine if you want to drive a car that way, but it's pretty clear you'd never had to make a sudden move, because you would spin the car without a front bar. Frankly it's dangerous to take a front bar off completely. I really hope you aren't driving near me when you need to avoid a kid, dog, deer, etc.
Use your heads and don't be lazy. You want to run without the front bar for drag racing, do it. But either take it off, or leave it on and unhook an endlink so it doesn't work when you are at the track. PLEASE. I broke an endlink one day just driving hard on some backroads and ended up sideways, and the car was not nice to drive home. It wandered around, didn't track for crap and made me seasick.

Thanks
Thanks guys. It's coming off then. Yeah, it's only a dragcar now. It will maybe only see the highway during a parade at most. Thanks for your time? BTW, why did they move my post, maybe cause it was a suspension question instead of an engine question? MY BAD.......
