Gonna Do some Front end Work.. Some Questions
Well i am about to replace my front struts with some Slp takeoff's...car has 130K and i want to do some front end suspension work cause she's gettin old. I want to replace the tie rod ends, but there is outer and inner tie rods.. Correct? Should i replace both?.. Also thinking about Balljoints should i replace them to? Anything else i should replace with this amount of miles?
Finally, Looking to replace my front end Sway bar w/ bushings also...Any recomendations? What size sway bar is stock anyway?
Once, again Thanks for any Help!

Re: Gonna Do some Front end Work.. Some Questions
$th gen F-Bods don't have struts ... they use a coil over design SHOCK.
If the tie rads are loose, then replace them. If they are still tight, don't bother. Outers usually are the ones that go.
If the ball joints are loose replace them. If the boot is torn, replace the boot only. Balljoints are expensive and require the A-Arms to be removed. It's not an easy job ...
Stock bar is 32mm in most cases. Why do you think you need a bigger (different) bar? Just replace the bushings and end links.
Moog parts are good parts ...

I've changed ball joints in the car. The uppers are not too bad (if you can drill straight). The lowers are easy if you own a balljoint press (I do). If not, you may have to pull them off of the car.

There are two bushings on the upper a-arm, and two bushings on the lower a-arm. ES makes a real good set of poly replacements for these. A-arms will need to be removed, and you need a torch to burn the old bushings out, or take them to a shop to have them pressed.
