guys w/le2 package and brakes

hey ive been chasing down this problem for a while now, my brakes suck ever since i had my motor done if i stand on the brakes from even a 15 roll it will not even activate the abs thats how bad they are. I have a 3400 stall converter and i cant even stall the car up past 1800 without rolling foward. Last time i checked i was getting 10" vacum. new pads all around, bled the brakes according to the chiltons manual which also has a process to bleed the abs module, had little to no air in the lines, still my brakes suck. tried a vacume canister. still suck. im thinking of getting a electric vacume pump. unless my brake booster is bad. is there a way to test it?

please help me ive been chasing this problem for a while now.

btw before the motorswap when it was stock the brakes worked perfect.

I have a LE3.1 and bigger cam and I have nowhere near the same braking issues. Before spending big money on a electric vac pump try to find what the real issue is.

the only other thing i can think of would be either bad rotors or a brake booster, i mean i havent changed the rotors ever but that should not make a diffrence they go bad w/ time not all of a sudden. could the abs module have something to do with it?

I would say the booster. Seems like the one thing that hasnt been ruled out.

Re: guys w/le2 package and brakes

The booster has a one-way valve in the 90degree elbow connector going into it. Run the car, shut it off, wait a couple of mins, and pull the vaccumm connector out of the booster. You should hear air being sucked in. My guess is that it's fine and the master cylinder is leaking internally or needs bled. How many miles on your ride? Brake light in the dash on?
