Has anyone successfully put Porsche brakes on their F-body?
Looking to see if anyone with 4th Gen F-body has successfully upgraded their brakes to Porsche brakes. Pictures would be great if available.

Generally, you have to get the rotor to mount to the hub, you have to fab up a caliper bracket, and the rotor/caliper assembly has to fit inside your wheel.
Did you want a particular set of Porsche brakes? From a particular model and year?

Thanks for the link. Do you know how much they cost? I'm trying to find a GOOD 6 piston brake kit for my car while spending under $1700. The only one I've found so far is the Willwood brake kit. But from the research I have done, it doesn't seem like the Willwoods are of high quality or stopping power for a 6 piston set up. I also got excited when I saw the price of the C6 Z06 front brake set up for really cheap, but then after doing some more research, it sounds like the brakes aren't really superior, unlike the rest of the C6 Z06.
Also for Slayers reply, yeah, those are some beefy brakes on your buddies car as well. Unfortunatly, I have already talked to the Mov it people, and their prices were again, a bit too steep for my brake budget.

Another comparable kit is Stoptech.. which uses their own caliper design, but is also monoblock, and I believe uses stardard pad sizes.. and floating rotors too.
You may want to glance at the pads and rotor replacment costs btw! Although pads should last longer, and rotors alot longer.

The Pro Stop Performance kit looks like a good deal at $2100! I believe the Mov'it kit is almost $4-5K but uses 6 pistons.

That kit looks nice and uses 6 piston calipers.

The kit at Summit Racing is a Willwood kit. Again, IMO the Willwoods price is cheaper than the others for a reason. From what I understand besides Willwoods quality, the stopping power of their 6 piston caliper, is about the same as my current Baer 2 piston caliper. I really don't want to spend more than about $1700 max. It may come down to where the only GOOD quality 6 piston caliper set up may in fact cost at least $2500.

Will the movit brakes stop the car faster then the c6 z06 brakes? (or evne C5 for that matter?)
What size wheel is needed?

Re: Has anyone successfully put Porsche brakes on their F-body?
Pretty consistantly for a 6 piston caliper you'll need some 18' wheels for clearance. As for the stopping power, I can't personally vouch for either since I haven't felt either, but from what everyone is saying about the C6 Z06 brakes, I would bet that the MOVIT brakes stop much better.
