Heater hose isolators...

I've been reading about using heater hose on springs. Do they mean using them in place of the stock, thick upper isolators to slightly lower the car, OR do they mean keep the stock uppers, and use the hose on the bottom of the springs to further isolate the road from the pass compartment?

typically that mod refers to the removal of the stock isolator...and putting the hose on there.

lowers the car 1/2" or so

alot of guys do it in conjunction with koni front stocks set on a lower perch.
