help installing rear suspension bushings
I have 96 z28 automatic. just dropped a new engine in it and now just want to install the rear suspension bushings that i have. They are made by energy suspension. Im hearing from some its an easy job then some say its not so easy. If anyone can help let me know. thanks

honestly im not sure. i bought the car and the guy gave me a box with all the bushings in them. said there all rear bushings that just havnt been put on yet. im hearing from some that it isnt hard to put them on this n that. then im hearing you need to have them pressed in? i feel pretty dumb not knowing what specific ones just i have a box with brand new energy suspension bushings. There isnt just one shape of piece there is a few different designed pieces so id assume there for different parts and what not.

The problem is that the rear LCAs and panhard bar are U-shaped channeled sheet metal. When u press the bushings in or out the channel collapses. If you dont have the half moon spacers that fit in the channel to prevent the collapsing you can end up with some trashed parts. Bushing replacement on the stock LCAs and panhard bar is tough w/o the proper tools. On aftermarket stuff no problem.
