hotchkis strut brace

Is the hotchkis strut brace worth the extra money (about 2x slp, bmr, etc)?

I assume the reason for the bends & double bars is too keep the brace out of the way. Are there clearance problems with the others getting to the oil filler, etc?

You'd notice it more with the subframe connecters. Just get the dual mounting piont brace, I've heard stories of broken windshields with the three point braces. It'll just be another part you'll end up buying anyway..

don't think you'd notice a difference (as some people don't notice a difference at all with stbs)
imo, check out umiperformance.com
i got mine on a gp from them
great product, excellent customer service

Re: hotchkis strut brace

I am going to install Kenny Brown subframe connectors & Hotchkis front and rear sway bars along with the strut brace.

I was just wondering if the hotchkis is better than the other brands?

I'd throw in the STB and the SFC's at the same time. Take it for a ride then tell us what you think. I'm going by what I have read/heard. I'd like to hear it first hand myself. You'll definitly notice a diff. w/ the sway bars, though.

I'll get them in time, but I just dished out 3g's for mods in mine. Plus buying the 'rents plane tickets gets pricey too. I'm almost broke.

you cant use the 3 point braces on 4th generation cars, the firewall is recessed deeper in the engine bay and a 3 point brace would mount to a signifcantly weaker cowl as opposed to the firewall

i dont think anyone makes a 3 point brace for your 2000 ss but if someone does, dont buy it, then u will risk a cracked windshield
