Cool How Much $$$$ To Drop It?

How much should it cost to drop my ride? I know of a place that will do it,but I want to know an estimate before I go there so I know if they are trying to rip me off or not. Is this all of the stuff I need so they can do it?>>>>>>
(1) Springs
(2) Relocation Brackets
(3) Panhard bar(adjustable)
(4) Should i replace the shock/struts also??
They have done camaros before,so they may have this stuff already. after the drop,I am putting on some 17's.See any problems??Thanks

Re: How Much $$$$ To Drop It?

Dude, I say give it a go yourself. Me and my pops spent 4 hours one day to do the back and about 10 hrs(includes parts run and food breaks) to do the front, on all the susp parts in my sig and that is probably longer than normal. Its not as hard as I thought but was really fun and gave me the satisfaction of doing something myself. Just find some good online guides or from mags and give it a go.

This is an install guide from Year One. I found it to be extremely helpfull and pretty detailed. Gave me most of the help that I needed. Anything else ask.

basic hand tools will get the rears done. The fronts are a bit more involved. I would just take the spring/shock assembly out and take it somewhere to have a new spring put on. Panhard bar is even easier

Re: How Much $$$$ To Drop It?

No prob for the guide. Make sure to have a set of spring compressors, BOTH metric and standard wrenches, sockets, etc... A long breaker bar or tourque arm for leverage reallllly helps. Two jacks and jack stands are helpful too. The only other item besides the ones in my sig that I replaced were the sway bar endlinks. Rusted to he(( and took a long time and effort to get loose. Get some beer and have some fun
