Insanity inducing squeaking noises
My 93 Z28 has always made lots of noises over the years...but there a new squeak that showed up about a month ago that resembles a rat or guinea pig at full wail that is driving me crazy. It seems to be coming from behind my left ear and any small bump will trigger it. Think a constant eek, eek, week , eek eek.. Nothing's changed recently, I've searched around and pulled off the a couple of interior panels but found nothing.
On another note the suspension is feeling looser and more unstable these days, and the car's structure starting to feel like it's made of cardboard. It's only got 81K in it but's 18years old and could it be time for a major suspension tear down? I don't want to spend too much $ on it but wondering it there's a decent solution for beefing it up (and maybe thinking it will fix the maddening squeaking) so it will not be so shaky.
Any thoughts on those of you with similar circumstance.

Another vote for SFC.
My car is 93 also and I know what you are talking about. My car felt like its falling apart when going over train tracks or pot holes. I got 3 point weld in SFC and the difference was huge. It only took me one block of driving to notice the difference in the car. The whole car felt so much stiffer, the ride quality went down a bit, I think because the car does not flex as much anymore so you feel every bump in the road more, but I got used to that really quickly. LOL at first I could not believe all this was just from SFC, it felt like I just installed stiffer springs.
Some will say that 2 point SFCs are good enough and 3 point are overkill unless you are doing auto cross, but for little more money why not it does not hurt, especially if you have t-tops.
