good stuff, I always been meaning to pick one up cause my steering is sloppy, but now since my Strano Springs and Koni's are on their way, this was totally necessary to add to the mix...Did you get the rag join elim quickly inthe mail?
I think im gonna paint my shaft red too...
Steering shaft that is!

there are small plastic rivets that breakaway during an accident. you can see them on the top of the steering shaft in the second to last picture on my site. the ragjoint just dampens road vibrations and wheel-jerk from potholes and such. but after the install there are no vibrations in the wheel. no negative affects what-so-ever. all good in my opinion.

My steering wheel is slightly off center. The car tracks straight, but the wheel needs to be a slightly off center for the car to stay straight. The alignment seems on. To center the wheel, would the adjustment be made during the replacement of the rag-joint?

No, it would be made at an alignment shop.

My 1994 TA has a little slop in the steering, presumably from the rag joint since the tie rod ends are new. It tends to wander all over the place with the wide 275 tires I am running right now. I suppose the rag joint eliminator kit should solve this issue to some extent??

Not neccessarily.
Play comes from either A) Rod Ends B) Rag Joint C) Steering rack
You need to identify which it is. You've eliminated A, to determine if its the rack or rag join have someone wiggle the wheel (with the car on the ground, not jacked up) while you look under the hood. If its the rag joint giving you the play you will notice it right away, if the rag joint is moving as one piece it's either B or A, since you've eliminated A it must be B
I just replaced my steering rack (which had the play) and did the Rag Joint eliminator at the same time.
