just put a posi reaer out of a 98 z28 in my v6 such a let down
just put in a 98 z28 rear in my 99 v6 with 3.42's and my car cant spin the tires wtf i figured with my cai and performance chip it would have enough power shouldnt i be at like 220hp now with the chip and cai i would think that would be enough to get some smoke rolling off these tires

Doubt you gained 20hp from a CAI and a performance 'chip'...and that power is up above 5000rpms anyway..which I doubt you turning trying to spin the tires. HP isn't going to give you a burnout- Torque will.
I have yet to see a basically stock V6 have smoke rolling off the tires...get your V8 power and then you will have it.

What performance "chip" do you have? The chip in your PCM is not replaceable. The PCM requires "flash" tuning. Hopefully you didn't buy one of those phony resistor "chips" that splice into the IAT or TPS sensor.

Re: just put a posi reaer out of a 98 z28 in my v6 such a let down
By going from the 3.08 gears to the 3.42 gears, you increased torque at the rear wheels on launch by about 11%. But now, with the posi, you have to break both wheels loose. Where before you had your engine's entire rear wheel torque breaking loose a single tire, now with the posi you have 111% of the torque trying to break loose BOTH tires, or 55% to each tire. Not likely you're going to see a big burnout.
Ditch the chip.... it's not doing anything for you if it's wired into the TPS sensor.

yeh thats what i figured as well motor just does not have enough *** to spin both hell i cant even get em to break loose a lil bit lol . but i definetly need to give this car a good tune up and get this exhaust leak fixed those might be part of the problem as well hell the chip might be part as well 2 now that ya bring it up..just curious if i went up 11% my speedo is showing me doing 50 when i am going really going 56 right? and at a 100 ill really be going 111 (not that ill be doing 100) just trying to get a idea how fast i am really going

It's the other way around. When you are going a true 100MPH, your speedo will read 111MPH.
Another thing to keep in mind..... every time you drive 1,000 actual miles, the odometer will add 1,104 miles.
