LCA and Relocation brackets installed
i am very happy with the results, however about 200 i started getting a rubber against rubber typ of sound when i hit bumps (here in PA thats very often) and i was curios to see what it was so i stopped the car and got out and started pushing down on the back of the car. well every time i did it i got that same sound.
now is this a common problem when you install brackets and lca's?
and is there a solution?
the shocks are brand new and so far it is only the drivers side making the noise.

Re: LCA and Relocation brackets installed
pretty sure but i will triple-check.
thanks guys
so i take it that the lca's and reloc. brackets on a car with stock ride hieght will not affect your shocks?

Re: LCA and Relocation brackets installed
nope...shouldn't affect them at all...
not saying they didn't finally wore out enough to start making noise...as coincidence...but it shouldn't be caused by the mods

By greased I didnt mean the stuff you put in a grease gun. They didnt give you two little packets of grease for the ends of the bushings on the LCA's? I'm not saying thats your problem, but I "greased" mine as I am describing and no noise..

Re: LCA and Relocation brackets installed
I just install my LCA's with the brackets and I had no problems. Everything was done under load as all 4 tires were set on blocks. Just a question, but did you weld in the brackets? I put in new shocks at the same time and all seems well. The LCA's along with a few other things I believed hepled me get my 60' times down from 2.0 to 2.1 to a 1.82 to 1.87 I still would like to be lower but that's better. I'm wondering if my new TA would help with that? I haven't had time to install that yet.

Re: LCA and Relocation brackets installed
I haven't run a 1/4 mile track yet hope to tonight. My local track is an 1/8 mile. Hard to say on that time since several other mods were done at the same time. I was running a 8.38 with the SC and a stock manifold and then and 8.45 with the LT's and cat-back. Got to the 8.03 after the Susp. work, Mad Z28 tune, Ported intake and 50# injectors. Before the Sphon parts I couldn't get below the 2.0 mark with my 60'.
