lightest K-member?

Who sells the lightest LT1 K-member? UMI's saves 25 lbs. over stock. Spohn offers a chromoly version, but its expensive. BMR's weighs 24.5 lbs. with motor mounts. Anyone else sell K-members for LT1s? Any drawbacks of any of the afore-mentioned? Your knowledge will be appreciated. Thank you.

More of a suspension and chassis topic but here is an answer...

All are within about 4-5 pounds of each other. The UMI looks to be a quality piece. Cant go wrong with Spohn... EVER! The BMR piece is the good quality/good price deal. I'd shoot a message over to UMI and see what theirs weighs in at.

Yeah definitely posted in wrong section. Just noticed this is LT1/LT4 ENGINE TECH. Sorry. Over at ls1tech all things LTX are in one section. Just didn't read it. Won't happen again.

You can just get new stock rubber motor mounts for the k-member. You should be good to go. Unless you like the poly units. The k-members have the mounts ready for the poly or rubber units usually.

stock lt1 k member is 44 pounds, look at tyburne or w/e the site is, they sell a pa racing k member in chromoly, for 449, that weighs 14-18 pounds

the mild steel weighs 19.5-21 and is only 290 bux! looks to be a good piece, if you have any doubts add some welds to the joints...

PA racing on many occasions has broken, just do a search, BMR has had failures too. UMI's isnt going to be the lightest but they guarantee it to take street abuse and daily driving where many others are drag race only.

Anybody heard of Anthony Jones Engineering. www.ajeracing.com is the site. They sell a cm k-member for $569. Is this a strong k-member? At least strong enough for daily driving with little street abuse?
