Lots of Questions

I've got a few questions regarding all new brakes, springs and shocks:
- my brakes kind of bump when I stop, I think this is because the rotors are becoming warped, right? any recommendations on new ones?
- I need new pads soon and was wondering what you guys are using and how you like them since this will be the first time I change the pads on this car
- I'm looking for a new spring/shock combo that will keep my stock ride height or possibly lower it a little, (look at my mods in the sig) I'm not sure how low I can reasonably go with the LT's on there but anyways, I'm looking for high speed performance and durability and all that good stuff
Thanks for any input

Re: Lots of Questions

If you feel a noticable vibration in the steering wheel when you are hitting the brakes, that is a tell-tale sign that your rotors are warped. For pads, I have had good results with Wagner, Delco, and Hawks. You will notice a huge 60-0 difference though if you do the LS1 front brake upgrade. As for the shocks, Konis or Bilsteins are good aftermarket replacements. The Konis will run you some change though.

Re: Lots of Questions

Thanks, whats more effective and whats more expensive, the LS1 upgrade or upgrading with other parts? I'm thinking cross drilled and maybe slotted rotors of some type and Hawk pads.

Re: Lots of Questions

have your stock rotors turned, assuming they are not down to minimum thickness already.

slap on some hawk pads

the best "small drop" springs will be the SLP spings and SLP revalved bilstein shocks. should stiffen the ride, and only drop you .75"

i think you can get the kit for under $700
