Low Trac light & poor braking performance?

Looks as if I finally solved my MAF problem but now the Low Trac light goes on whenever I attempt to stop fast. I can feel the front brakes skipping or bouncing. Tires are not loosing traction and I'm not skidding nor am I driving in the rain, not that the car has ever seen rain. Brake light is NOT on and Low Trac comes on under moderate brake pressure.

My car does not have Traction Control and in all honesty doesn't seem safe to drive at this point. The Front brakes are 13" Baer Track set-up with 10k miles. Car doesn't pull or shudder. Any ideas on where I can start because if I have to stop quickly it's not going to happen. The Low Trac light has come on in the past but my braking performance has never been an issue until now.

Again, brake light has never come on, just Low Trac appears momentarily and then turns off.

Thanks

This is where I would start. Check brake fluid level and brake system for leaks. Check 3rd brake lights for operation. Inspect and clean wheel speed sensors. Inspect, clean, and re-rack connectors on sensors and abs module.

Fluid level is perfect, 3rd brake light works, and no leaks. I'll have to pull the wheels and inspect the speed sensors & abs module.

Thanks,
Eric

To avoid starting another thread, I have a similar issue......

My "low trac" light comes on ever time my ABS engages (wet or dry conditions). I've never noticed that before. Is that normal? Braking performance is fine. Do I check all the things that RUDEDOG stated above?

The low trac light coming on with abs activation is normal.

OK.... now we have two posts here in Suspension, Chassis and Brakes.

In the future, do NOT post the same topic in multiple forums.... particularly, do NOT post a question about brakes in LT1 Based ENGINE Tech, which is where I moved the other post from.
