Lower 1" with Z06 rims???
I have a 97 Z28. Ordered Eibach 1" lowering kit. I want the ZO6 replica rims, 17" in front 18" in rear. Will there be enough space to lower 1" and have the rims and tires? Below are the stock ZO6 tire sizes.
Front: 265/40-17
Reae: 295/35-18

fronts: 275-40-17 (stock size)
backs: 275-35-18 (stock size)
or you can get 18's all the way around and make the car look symmetrical. you'll have more sidewall in the front and it may look weird.
if you go with the sizes you have you'll need to adjust your speedometer to reflect the sizes. with this configuration of sizes you'll have a .03% speed increase over stock, or less than the variable between buying one brand vs another.

it's a tire size comparrison chart

Black Z28, you are correct, oem's would need spacers, but he said replicas. Having the replicas, no spacers needed. Pics in sig, 285/40/17 by 9.5 all around. Not shown in the pics yet, I lowered it by 1.5" w/ no problem! But I do have a 99 not a 97. P.S. Dont go w/ real wide tires in frt, it tracks all over IMO, looks great tho.

Well thats awesome news that i can lower it with the ZO6 rims!!! You mentioned that I should go with a narrower tire in the front... what size should i go with not only in the front but also the rear? I have my mind set on 17 front and 18 rear but i'm kind of leaning toward just doing 18 all round. Any Opinions? Just freaking out because i won't know until its all purchased and slap it on the car! Any tips or ideas will be great!
Thanks
Thanks

Get 18's all the way around. You'll be glad you did when you go to rotate your tires and you can actually do it with out getting your tires taken off the rims.I use to have 17's on the front 18's on the rear. I could never rotate my tires. It was annoying. I now have 18in ZO6's all the way around on my car. There are pics in the sig. I also have a set of lowering springs i plan to slap on it in the next few months.

What size tires are you running on the car?
