Lowering springs
I am looking into buying some lowering springs and was wondering what brand was pretty good for my v6.
EIBACH seems to be the favorite but also seems to be the most expsensive. Am i paying extra just for the name or are they really better.
Would it be a mistake just to buy some of these?

i wouldn't skimp on the springs. you never quite know what you're gonna get for a final drop.
how much were you looking to lower it?
you could do the SLP springs that lower it .75"
or the BMR springs which are supposed to be 1"
for either you could get the SLP bilstein shocks that are revalved for lowering spings and you should have a pretty stout ride

im only looking to do about a 1-2'' drop so im gona go with an Eibach Prokit. and i was told that i need to get new shocks also. Should i also get eibach shocks? Pro dampers i think was the name of the kit

1-2" is huge difference. Which is it? Do you want to clear speed bumps w/out scraping or do you want to scrap on every bump in the road and ride like crap?

You'll also need an adj. panhardbar.
I wouldn't run those springtechs.
1. You have NO idea what the spring rate it. They could be too hard (and you'll bounce around) or too soft (and you'll ride bumpstops).
2. Too low for a daily driver unless you have very smooth roads.
3. Only a 30 day warranty? Mine are warranted never to sag for life.
Like I said, you need to do some more research.

It does sit a bit low in the rear. Prolly cause I have a box w/ 2 12's in there too. I've also heard that the BMR's sag over time so it get to be like a 1.20 inch drop.
A V6 shouldn't be a problem, seeing as you prolly won't be doing a set of hang-low LT's... .. I do scrape on a LOT of stuff now.
I would personally recomentd a .75" drop. An inch is just enough, even w/ Lt's, but it does get rid of that horrid front wheel gap. I don't know how PPL can do a 2" drop now.
