LS1 brake conversion, which stainless brake lines to get?

I want to put the stainless lines on the front and rear brakes, although I'm just changing the fronts to LS1 brakes.

I searched, and it looks like I should get the LS1 stainless lines, is that correct?

Thanks,
Dan

LS1 brake line sets will fit LT1 rear brakes.

Thanks for the verification. I'll be buying the Earls stainless LS1 lines then.

If I have the LS1 knuckles, calipers, caliper brackets, spindles, and rotors is there anything else I need for the brake lines to adapt? I think I'm all set, but want to make sure.

looks like you have it all. If you don't have the LS1 brake line body mount you will have to fight to get the retaining clip on the new LS1 lines.

Can you explain that a little further? Are you talking about the point where the new brake lines will meet the existing hard lines?

What exactly would I need to solve this?

Thanks,
Dan

Yes i'm talking about the bracket where the hard lines end and the flexible begin. The Brake lines are circular but they have key ways cut on them so that way when they go through this body clip and you pin them they can't turn inside the clip when you tighten the lines. Lets say the LT1 body bracket has a hole like this that the line needs to go through.

!
O

Well the LS1 brake line might have a end on it thats like this

!
O-

So the LS1 brake line won't really fit cleanly through the LT1 body bracket. I just had to get the line in there at an angle and then try to drive the retaining clip on. It took a while because either the clip wouldn't go on or it would come flying back off. If you are familar with brake lines at all you should know what i'm talking about.

Now I know what you are talking about. Maybe I'll try to grind the bracket hole in the right spot with my dremel to make the LS1 hose end slide through correctly.

Thanks again.

Hang on before you do that! I just did the swap and the SS lines come with a retaining nut that eliminates the retaining clip. Don't be grinding anything down.

Re: LS1 brake conversion, which stainless brake lines to get?

Well, just found out that I can get my hands on one last set of Bob Bishop C5 brackets, so C5 brakes here I come.

Anyone need the LS1 brake conversion? The used LS1 parts that I bought on Ebay aren't here yet, but it will include the knuckles, spindles, calipers, rotors. Basically everything attached to the whole knuckle.
