LS1 brake questions

how much do front pads usally go for.. how bout rotors? i guess GM, but if u know aftermarket brands let me know too. Cause i want to do the upgrade on my 94 z,and just wondering what these go for so i can lay out my options when i go to buy a LS1 upgrade

*EDIT*> do i really need new brake lines? cause i read the old ones can still be used...

Re: LS1 brake questions

New pads run anywhere from $80-120. The same could be said about rotors. But you could also find a set of rotors and pads for under $100. It's all in what you want out of your brakes.

Re: LS1 brake questions

I changed my lines, but if they are not damaged, don't worry about it. I had a little extra $$ to spend so I did it. I bought Hawk pads, more of a premium pad for about $60-70. I'm sure you could get an autozone special for about 20-25

Re: LS1 brake questions

If you want to you can use just stock LS1 pads and rotors. There will still be a huge improvement over the stock stuff. The LS1 setup i bought had pretty much new pads and rotors that weren't worn or warped so i just used them as i got them. The same with the stock LS1 lines. I just cleaned and painted everything and slapped it on.

I think that's where I got them. I was wondering about the springs. They didn't look too different. Oh well, I got springs and shocks for about $125. I'm not complaining.
