Angry LS1 Brake SQUEAL!

Has anybody had this problem and solved it? I did the LS1 brake upgrade and it was smooth sailing for about 5 months, but now all of a sudden, my brakes are squealing. Im not happy about it. They dont do it all the time. Sometimes they do it if I brake hard and they stop when I let up a little bit on the pedal. Other times they do it when I brake lightly then they stop when I brake a little harder. Sometimes they dont squeal at all. I have the PowerSlot II rotors with Satisfied Ceramic Pads on it. Anybody got any suggestions? I put the anti squeek stuff on when I put the pads on originally. A mechanic friend of mine said that on the few LS1's hes worked on, the owners usually say their brakes squeal sometimes, but Im not gonna live with it. Thanks guys!!!

Re: LS1 Brake SQUEAL!

Switch to the VGX pads. They claim that they dont squeak and they dont. Have had them on my vert for years and I have powerslot rotors. Summit Racing carries them.

Re: LS1 Brake SQUEAL!

got one of two options...change the rotors or change the pads...i'd suggest the pads. you have a very stiff pad rubbing against steel...you'll get noise. go with a softer more rotor friendly pad and it should go away. plus you have really really expensive rotors so change the cheapest first.
