LS1 brake upgrade - can't get air out of the brake line .... wtf?!
hey guys, i'm in the process of completing my LS1 brake upgrade and i am having a hell of a time getting air out of the line on my driver's side front caliper. Has anyone had a similar problem? **every other caliper is fine, comes out in a clear stream without problem, its just this one that's being a pain. Any ideas?
thanks!

It's very easy to let the fluid level get too low in the reservoir when you are bleeding the fronts. You can only get about 3-5 pumps on the brake before the reservoir is too low and starts to suck fluid in. I let it get too low in the reservoir when I was bleeding the rears and had to start the entire bleeding process over.

It may take a bit longer, but let the brakes gravity bleed. Fill the master cylinder, open the bleeder, and let it go. The more air in the line, the longer it will take, but you will get it all. Just let it go till no bubbles come out.
I've been doing this for awhile, and although it takes longer, you get better results.

well, (this is dumb i know) its been almost 110,000 miles since the last fluid change as far as i know (im the 3rd owner of this vehicle). The old brake fluid was BLACK; is it possible that the seals in the master cylinder are FUBAR and i need a new master cylinder?
thanks!
thanks!
