LS1 parking brake on 3rd gen?

has anyone done this? ive searched numerous forums, and all i found was a couple of guys giving up and going a custom route...

i have my stock 98' rear end with everything on it, and ill be swaping in a 3rd gen 12 bolt with backing plates, lt1 disks and lt1 calipers

id really like to use my stock e-brake setup if anyone has any ideas?

ill be starting the work as soon as the snow clears (day or so)
