LS1 rear brakes. Buy the Ebrakes or just Buy line lock?

I'm putting some LS1 brakes on the rear of the camaro and the Ebrake set up will probably cost more than just doing a line lock. I have a 6 speed so I feel its important to have a brake while I'm out of the car while it is running.

What do you guys think?
Line lock is $120 where the ebrake set up is hard to find and will likely cost more.

Can you even pass a veh. inspection without a functioning e-brake?

Florida doesn't have those..
But i decided just to go ahead and do the extra work to get the LS1 ebrake setup installed.

Line Locks typically go on the front; where as E-Brakes are typically the rear. Plus is there any real difference between the 98+ and 93-97 parking brakes?

93-97 Parking brakes are built into the brake caliper. 98+ I believe have brake shoes inside the rotor.

Yes... the LS1 parking brake is an expanding shoe, inside the back of the rotor. The LT1 cars use a lever to wedge the pads against the rotors.

I ran into this years ago, but since I have an A4 I just deleted the Ebrake. I do however have a E-brake cable if you need it, brand new from NAPA.
