LS1 vs C5 calipers and bias

LS1 vs C5 calipers and bias
If you used LS1 calipers (yes I understand they are not as strong) with C5 abutment brackets and correct mounting brackets with C5 rotors, would that affect brake bias? With C5 calipers at 40mm and LS1 at 44mm pistons, the LS1 calipers with C5 rotors should give more stopping torque, with a little more front bias. The C5 is more evenly weight distrubited vs a LT1 4gen camaro which I would guess the LT1 would need more front bias. Someone please add to this.

Re: LS1 vs C5 calipers and bias
here is a static calculator you can use to determine the bias for any rotor/caliper/pad combination. Though there is no allowance for factory combination valve so you will get a relative value (unless you know the factory combination valve bias to make a manual correction, in which case please share). With the numbers you quoted (also I thought the C5/LS1 pistons were the same diameter but the C5 was a pressure cast caliper so it would have less spreading), the LS1 rotors will give a bit more bias to the front (a few percent). http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/bias-calculator/
Not sure on how you use the care, but if you need to fine tune the bias with the C5s (or LS1s), you can put a proportioning valve in the rear line and reduce rear bias to get to the same ratio with the C5 as the LS1. I have not yet found anyone who makes an adjustable combination valve that supports the EBCM as that would be the neatest way.
