Sounds like you are putting some 4th Gen parts in another vehicle.... what vehicle? Possibly the 86 Camaro in your screen name?????

I'll move this to the "Suspension......" forum, since LT1/LT4 Engine Tech is only for engine questions.

Just to clarify.... you are putting an LT1 engine and WHAT transmission in your 86?

You might want to check with Spohn Performance. They make a 3rd Gen TA that mounts to the chassis. Steve Spohn was also involved with a project to mount a T56 in a 3rd Gen, making a kit to allow it to happen. You might want to contact him directly, and ask what he has to make things work.

As a source for Spohn products, check the Supporting Vendors list for "Herron Performance".

anyone knows the easiest way to install the torquearm bracket with the transmission already bolted up without unbolting crossmemeber, and all that stuff.with the screw attached to the torque arm bracket, it seems impossible putting the torque arm bracket on from the bottom!

dont know if you fixed your problem but I had a buddy helping me with the trans install in my a4 94 z28, he forgot to put the mount on the back first, he tried to wedge it and pry. ended up cracking the tailshaft, found out after i got back from the store with the atf. lucky he gave me an old 700r4 from a 88 ta as the tailshaft was identical.
