master cylinder upgrade

I am thinking about doing the C5 brake swap on my 93 Z and I have heard some people say that they think the brakes would perform better w/ the new calipers if they got a larger master cylinder.
Is this true?
If it is, what kind of master cylinder will work?
Can I get one off a C5 or will in not fit?
Any help would be great, thanks.

I'm running C5 fronts and LS1 rears. I did the math at one time for figuring optimum master cylinder size for given calipers. The stock master cylinder is nearly optimum, perfect being slightly bigger. The Vette MC is slightly smaller. A smaller bore will increase line pressure and lower pedal pressure. As I already think the pedal is over boosted this is not something I'd want.

Either way, my current set-up will stop from 60 mph in well under 100 ft and pull your eyes out of their sockets it stops so fast. I'm not up to mess with near perfection.
