Monroe Parts

Has anyone replaced any of their existing suspension or steering parts to Monroe aftermarket? If you did, How are they and how do they stack up the competition?

Re: Monroe Parts

I just did Monroes all the way round because Advance had a sale on them.
Whole deal cost less than $200 bucks for front struts and back shocks.

Not sure how they stack up against the $800 buck Koni sets, cause this is a daily driver that sees about 70 miles a day, 5 days a week on the highway.

So far, these Monroes feel pretty good.
If I had $800 bucks to spend on something, it would probably go into the engine first, but that's just me.

Re: Monroe Parts

They are stock equivalents which are marginal for stock springs as it is.

Re: Monroe Parts

I've used Monroe stuff on some of my other cars and friends cars. I would say they are a definite improvement over the stock hardware but not quite up to par with Bilstein, Koni, ect.

Re: Monroe Parts

Monroe are no where near the quality of bilsteins or koni's. I put them on my winter beater mazda protege. They held up for 3 years until one of them seized
