Need help with ABS
#16
The abs should not affect power brakes at all as the abs does not boost brake pressure, it releases the brake pressures on the front wheel or rear axle that is locked up. Also neither the abs or ebcm have any signal to/from the power assist, your foot, with or without assist, is providing all the pressure to operate the brakes. The ABS just looks for wheel lock-up and then relieves the brake pressure on whatever wheel is locked up. I think you have two problems, one is the power assist failure, the other is the abs problem.
If you get someone to pull the codes, I have a 1995 shop manual with all the brake codes listed and hopefully you can get the abs solved. I would then bleed the whole system again. Not sure what you have replaced nor am I am sure what the impact of bleeding the system with an abs failure is, if it is a bad wheel sensor, probably not much, if its a failure internally in the abs such as a motor re-homing, not sure what the impact would be though I suspect it would be air still in system, so soft pedal, not what you have. Once you have a good abs and know you are bled, I would assess the power assist with the "remove the vaccuum hose" test suggested.
