Need help, hit curb.

Its been awhile now, but i slid into a curb about 6 months ago mayeb a lil more... i smacked it pretty good and i never noticed with my stock 16" rims and tires cause it didnt rub.. but now i put 18"s on and i rub on the front passenger side only.

You can stand back and look at the rims and tire and clearly see that it is not centered at all, its shifted about an 1" maybe 2" towards the back of the car. this is whats causing the tire to rub on the fender when turning right.

Im curious what could this be? Someone told me bent frame but i figured id come on here and talk to people who actually know what they are talking about... which is all of you

A bent steering knuckle? Might be a good time to do an LS1 brake upgrade if in fact the steering knuckle is bent.

I'll second the knuckle. They're the easiest piece to bend.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?
I'm looking at the same problem. What was the fix for your car?

Re: Need help, hit curb.

check the front control arm...happened in my third gen...actually it was the k-member that bent. Good time for a k-member and control arm upgrade...if you're lucky it'll be easier (cheaper) to get stock parts from a junkyard....It isn't neccisarily the easiest install either (I did mine when I did the motor swap). Aside from that it's pretty straight forward. Get under the car and if nothing looks visibly bent then it's probably the K-Member as it is only a steel part as opposed to a cast...The cast knuckles will snap before they bend much. Check the Arms and K-member...If you're in the Chitown area I can look at it for you.
