need help on how to install lakewood traction bars ASAP
I just bought a set of lakewood traction action lift bars for a camaro 1996 z28. but the instructions are very crapy, dont have the slightest idea on how to install them, any body have pics of them installed cant seem to find anywhere so I can see hao they are installed thanks!

You might want to do a search about those lift bars. Not to many guys that put them on, leave them on. I did like most, and just use the control arms with no adjustment hardware. It was one of those live and learn things for me. Maybe you'll have better luck.

i installed them and i can really notice the diference! they hookup gr8! i cant seem to find were they crak as people say, but well for a long shot, ill try them if not going for the lower control arms

You won't see the crack until the metal fatigues under heavy use. If you have enough HP, they will eventually rip themselves apart.
People are running 1.2x 60-fts with simple tubular LCA's.

Now that you have them installed, how far down can you push the backend with all your weight? Take a look at whats going on under the car now. How is the torque arm suppose to do its job?

You remove the torque arm. It is not needed when you use the Lakewood traction action lift bars.

I'll tell you what though, there's no way I would have bought them, if I knew the TA was suppose to come off. I would not trust the material or the thickness off it, to have faith in it holding up.

Yeah, forget the Lakewoods (just use the control arms they come with) and get a chassis mounted adjustable Spohn TA.

Spohn, BMR, UMI, etc. can sell you a large variety of well-designed components that won't crack.... the same components that are basically upgrade of the stock pieces, and being used in the cars that are running excellent 60-ft times.

I bought these traction things brand new, and the instructions never said to take off the torque arm. Where are you guys getting that info from? I used the torque arm with them, and they gave me great traction, at the stock HP level. It basically just restricts the suspension travel in the rear, which I thought was a poor design AFTER I bought them. live and learn though.
