Question Need help replacing rubber parts in drive train and steering and such!

Hi guys!

I have a 1997 Z28 with 101K miles. I was thinking about replacing rubber bushing in the drive train and steering.

I need you folks suggestions and part numbers if you have them.

I think my transmission mount is bad because I get a small thump when I accelerate quickly.

I need to replace the boot on my rack and pinion on the drivers side too!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Lee!

PST makes a kit that replaces pretty much every bushing from front to back on the car including the tranny mount: http://www.spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1401 As for the boot on the rack and pinion, I'm not sure if that is servicable or not. I know auto parts stores do sell boot&grease kits for CV joints, I'm don't know if a similar offering is there for the rack and pinion.

Wrong forum..... LT1/LT4 Engine Tech is not for questions about the drivetrain and suspension bushings.

88910854 is the part number for the boot and clamps.
OEM type bushings and trans mounts are available from rockauto.com, best parts source on the web IMO
