Need opinions on LCA brands.

Can't decide on what brand of lower control arms to purchase.
Was going to get sphoon tubular lca's, but came across these lakewoods, which are boxed.

Anyone got any opinions between the 2 design types?
Any better choices, like BMR or edelbrock?

Sort of leading towards the lakewoods due to the price tag, but if quality isn't there then i'll go else where.

Thanks for any replys.

Ive had the boxed Lakewoods on my car for three years now. Never had a single problem with them and they have performed very well. Seemed like high quality pieces too.

Is there any performance differances between having a tubular and a boxed design. Seems as if the boxed ones would be less flexable. Lake wood are about $119 us which don't seem to bad.
Anymore opinions?

There's a 3,500# 30th SS convertible, pushing over 1,300HP and running mid 8's @ 160mph with Spohn tubulars. I don't think "flex" is an issue. Hard to beat the Spohn stuff for "drag" cars.

Here as well, very happy. I think the SPOHN stuff should be kept to drag only cars, but to be honest I don't see people buying them other than for their popular status. I'm sure the quality is excellent, but not as much over other brands as most people boast I'm sure. There has to be a difference as most of their stuff is drag quality though.

Have you actually looked at the Spohn parts and compared them to other brands? Have you compared customer service?

I didn't want to elaborate on this, but you asked. If I get flamed by anyone cause I don't worship the SPOHN family like gods then the person flaming has a small *****.

Yep, bought parts from Lakewood, Spohn, BMR, SLP etc. and I still don't see the big deal. It's more e-popular, so it's bought and recommended more frequently in my opinion.

A side note, SPOHN was the slowest shipper I bought from, they were nice about it, but still slow. All my other parts came on time, and are of the best quality, as were the SPOHN parts. There price and construction is excellent but I feel they should stay with the boys that are drag only, or the ones that want to brag about their budget.

Never said they werent all quality, because they are. I just think that they are overhyped. This causes BMR and Lakewood etc. that make excellent street level parts, be considered by the "in crowd" to be badly welded, constantly breaking pieces of crap by the sheep.
