Need some help with visual identification

I have some images that I need some parts identified in. The parts are pointed to with a white stick.

Re: Need some help with visual identification

For the first two in post #1, look at this diagram from Shoebox:

Outer tie rods:

In photos 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 (which are virutal duplicates, hard to tell exactly what part you are asking about) you are pointing to the rear axle housing axle tube end flanges.

Again from Shoebox:

In #8 and #9 you are pointing to the end or the transmission tailshaft housing, where the driveshaft splined slider shaft is inserted.

#10 (last one in post #1) is the trailing end of the rear lower control arm.

In post #2, the photos are duplicates of #8 and #9 in the first post.

Is this some sort of a joke?

Re: Need some help with visual identification

No, actually my car is in Europe and this is the pictures that a mechanic took from under the car of some parts that need to be changed. I really don't know what the parts are called and he does not know them in English either. That is why I am asking. I need to order them from the US.

As much as I could translate the parts... which he told me...these are the hard translations, I don't know if they are mechanical part equivalents...

end links

transmission semering

persistent bars for rear differential

bearings for semi axle

Re: Need some help with visual identification

I just redid them so that there are no duplicates. If anyone can please help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Need some help with visual identification

So I guess you are saying you don't believe the info I provided? (Which of course no longer matches because you have altered the order of the photos )

Good luck.

Re: Need some help with visual identification

The order was altered because there was duplicates before. If you want to help, thanks, if not, that's fine too.

Re: Need some help with visual identification

Looks like from what is pointed out in the pictures that you need outer tie rod ends, rear lca bushings, axle bearings, and a tailshaft seal.

Re: Need some help with visual identification

I'm curious as to what mechanic don't know what an outer tie rod end is, axle and driveshaft seals, and bushings are.

Not trying to troll, but even if he doesn't know English, he should know how to get the parts since f-bodies are in Europe too IIRC. Sounds like you are in for a rough time trying to get your car fixed across the ocean by someone who is sending you pictures back and forth to get answers and ideas of what to do.

BTW- It would appear as though Fred gave you good info- and a great source of future info should you need it.
