Need some quick shocks/spring advice

I am doing the LS1 brake conversion as we speak. The body of the car has 130K miles and I've already had to replace the balljoints since they didn't look too good with that much mileage on them. I am done with the driver side brake and balljoints, but on the passenger side after I removed the old knuckle, I noticed the shock is leaking on the bottom. They are stock decarbon shocks.

I really don't want to spend more money on the car at this point, so I'm wondering if I will be fine with just replacing that one shock, or do I need to change both the shock and spring? If I change the one on this side and don't change the one on the driver side, will the car look/feel weird? The other shock seems to be just as old but it isn't leaking.

Thanks.

i would not replace just one, it would or could nose dive to one side if you do and then you could loose control and that would be bad. change out the both of them that would be my suggestion. or just leave it weak as it is till you hae he funds to do a good set. i just put koni adjustables with may bear brake set up and i also found some cruddy front end parts, ball joints and tie ends.

SLP is selling Decarbon front take offs for $25 a pair...can't beat that price...Their take offs usually only have 10 miles or less on them. I don't know that you need to change the spring just because a shock is bad...This would be the cheapest route, I think. Check out Slponline.com they are in the suspension section item #96307...

Re: Need some quick shocks/spring advice

Theres a gut selling a set of front shocks in the For Sale section for $10.00. They are the same shocks ABA383 spoke of with 8,000 miles. Here's the link.
