New 67 Camaro needs help with many things

Hello everyone. I'm new so bear with me here. I just bought on eBay a new well older camaro http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
Anyways I'm making what I guess is called a "Pro Touring" car. First off I want to go with the 13 inch Baer brake system and the widest 17 inch wheels that I can fit under the car. I also want the suspension to be done as well. I have an estimate at 2 local shops for about 14k for the parts and the work. What I want is a car that has 500hp and 500tq. The motor was going to be done later, but I wanted the suspension and brakes and wheels done now, but this price seems high. I live in Northern California so shop prices here are around $100 per hour. American Touring Specialties in Vegas has not submitted a bid back to me as of yet, but I wanted to know is, is this what it's going to take to make a good handling, stopping Camaro? I could use everyone's expert advice on all of this.
Thanks in advance everyone :-)

Mike

Re: New 67 Camaro needs help with many things

check out the latest chevy high performance...it has a 69 in there that takes all the c4-5 suspension, drivetrain, and some other components. makes it hang with the vettes. any way, look into it, it's an awesome car and it drives like the newer ones.
