New Brakes

Hi i just installed new rotors and pads all around. Now when i pull up my drive way and try to enter my garage i felt what seems like a grinding noise from the front brakes thats when i;am halfway on the pedal and entering the garage really slow. When i come up to a stop sign or light it stops with no problem just when i;am halfway on the pedal and moving really slow is this normal.

THANK YOU

NICK

Re: New Brakes

The pads just have to get bedded in. I am sure there are as many diffrent ways to do this as there are people on this board, but ususally a series of complete stops from 30-40 mph and a set from about 60 helps the pads and rotors mate up better. My $.02

Re: New Brakes

It depends on the kind of pad you bought. You're not suppose to hit the brakes too hard on some pads because they can glaze. But some pads call for some hard braking. What kinda of pads did you get?
